What shall I do, when rain is pouring down outside?
And nobody wants to play with me?
Hmm, mal schauen, ob alles da ist: 300 g Mehl, 100 g Zucker (brauner wäre besser), 2 TL Backpulver, 1 TL Vanillepulver, 1 Msp Salz, 2 Eier (glückliche natürlich), 100 g Butter (zerlassen), 1/4 Liter Milch, Backschokolade-Würfelchen.
Ja, wir können loslegen.
Let's have a look if we've got everything at home: 300 g flour, 100 g sugar, 2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla powder, 1 pinch salt, 2 eggs (happy ones of course), 100 g butter (melted), 1/4 liter milk, and baking chocolate cubes. Yes, we're ready.
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then mix the eggs, the milk and the melted butter in another bowl before you mix dry and liquid ingredients together. Stir vigorously... I don't use a machine for that job, so that I can tell myself that I've burnt already some calories *LoL*.
Then it becomes delicious: Mix the backing chocolate cubes under the dough and fill it in little muffin tins.
Then put it in the oven by 180 degree and wait 25 minutes with a watering mouth in front of it.
If you found this too boring (or if you've burnt your nose already at the hot glass of the oven), then you could turn to the now dirty kitchen. Hmm... and there you find a new problem: Hubby not at home, kids we don't have, and cat Noah doesn't like it... so who could sacrifice himself for licking out the bowl??? Yes, that's a real hard job for poor me :o).
Muffins lined up for photo shoot! Oh, well, that did go wrong. The photographer couldn't resist the temptation.
Second try... now it worked.
As soons as the muffins were out of the oven the sun appeared. As I always say: with chocolate muffins you get everybody out of its hiding place. The view out of my kitchen window proofs it.
So let's move outside to see what's going on in the freshly washed garden.
As much as I love chocolate Muffins this little snail loves flower. Who cares... I've got more of them.
The Hydrangea You & Me seems to like the cooler weather.
This case I found in a second hand shop. The pansies don't seem to like it and are looking for an escape. What a real ungrateful pack! I cared that they have a roof over their head and this is their thank! :o)
The white peonies are always lovely to look at.
Let's move on in the other part of the garden which is on the other side of the house.
One of my favorite roses is blooming there: The Spirit of Freedom. She is a climber with a wonderful fresh fragrance.
Wait, I take it closer to you, so that you can smell it. It doesn't work? Hmm, who understands the human beings. We can send men to the moon but no fragrance through the computer?! I think, that priorities were set incorrectly, don't you think so?
Next Saturday my priorities will be here: in eliminating this big mountain for chopping.
And who knows, maybe summer will come to us till then.
