Phew... it's done and dusted and now I'm ready to snuggle somewhere for a long, long time: The garden has fallen asleep, X-Mas decoration is more or less done and my third novel is ready to make others some work. But let's start at the begin:
Finally I bought a bigger feeding house for the birds, so that I don't need to fill it up every time. This one lasts for about one week, then it is empty. The tits were the first to understand how to land on it, then the sparrows and the wood nuthatch... the others are still trying, I'm sure they will succeed soon.
I started today with the christmas decoration, as nature did it.
My self-sewed kitschy cushions ... at XMas a little bit of kitsch is fine.
My advent plate is very simple. Mainly because the birds had eaten all rose hips that I wanted to use as decoration. Two weeks ago the shrubs were full of it, but today morning all was empty. However, I guess they needed it more than I do.
Idas Sternsinger dürfen auch wieder losschmettern. Sind die nicht allerliebst? Ich freu mich jedes Jahr wieder aufs Neue, wenn ich sie hervorhole.
Idas carol singer are ready to sing us a song. Aren't they cute. I love to take them out of their box for Christmas time.
A little bit of nostalgia belongs as well to christmas. This sweet little boy is my dad.
My hubby and I have a bet running: who will be the first to tear down that little winter tree. Probably it will be me.
The kitchen window wouldn't need any decorating - the garden would be enough. But one can never have enough stars, don't you think so?
Im Moment heisst der Neue "Henrietta macht das schon". Gut möglich, dass der Titel sich noch mal ändern wird. Aber ich fand ihn ziemlich passend.
But let's change the topic: I've just finished my third novel. Now it will go to two test readers and to my publishing house, after that - if it will be published - it goes to the editing and proofreading and then work starts again for me. But till then I've got spare time *hurra*. It's about time, because the household has suffered a lot during the last two weeks. I had nothing else in my mind than this story. But it's so much fun to write, I couldn't stop it.
The story plays here and ...
... hier und...
... here and ...
... hier und ...
... here and ...
... and here. Yes, it plays in England and Scotland.
I'm really looking forward to the following weeks, when I hopefully have a little bit more time to sew, knit, crochet or whatever. Have a great time and a peaceful first advent.
