Überall het's Pilzli dra / World of Mushrooms
This year, Mrs Gwundergarten joined a fungus training... no, not because my husband was worried about his health, but because I was just curious what is growing in the wood. So at the last day of the training we went into the wood to search mushrooms.
In the morning mist was wrapping in the wood, but it soon cleared up.
In little groups we went into the wood. And I was sure the mushrooms would have preferred to go back into the soil.
But don't worry, we didn't pick everything that dared to show its head out of the ground. This beautiful toadstool we left back. By the way, did you know that this mushroom isn't deadly poison? Well, I wouldn't eat it anyway because I don't like spending time beside the loo because of vomiting, stomach ache, delirium etc. So better leave it back in the wood. At the training we learned that there are mushrooms who show their deadly effect only after 4 to 6 days and who does remember that this could be because of the mushroom dish. So be careful when you are not kind to me and are invited for a mushroom dinner at my table *LoL*. Noooooo, of course I wouldn't do such a thing, neeeeever ever. Let me tell you, that we didn't manage to find such a poison mushroom during the whole training. Not that we wanted to kill somebody but it would have been interesting to see such a natural weapon.
Look what my friend and I found in the wood. Somebody must have spent the night there. Well I prefer my cozy bed at home.
As you can see, we were successful in finding mushrooms.
Like one should do, when one goes to a private mushrooms control, we sorted the mushrooms... more or less perfect.
Those weren't eatable but don't they look exciting?
Of course we had a delicious mushroom risotto made over the fireplace. It was the most delicious risotto I ever ate and this not only because of the fresh air where everything tastes much better.
After lunch the fungus control started.
Susi, danke Dir nochmals für den spannenden Kurs und das feine Essen! Es hat richtig Spass gemacht!
It was very exciting to see, touch, smell and compare all the mushrooms. And what did I learn? It's better to show the mushrooms to somebody who know the business because it happens very quickly that you get one who won't become you good.
Susi, thank you so much for this very exciting training and the delicious meal! It was pure fun.
