Summer: finally straighten out all four...
... and being pampered.
Look a bit dumbfounded...
Enjoy the fragrance of summer.
Suck in every single ray of sunshine.
Smoke above Gwundergarten... but no, we don't need the fire brigade and you don't have to jump off the deckchair, it's just...
... everything under control and it is just: summer!
I love garden parties, there is nothing better.
One guest has already taken place at the table... well, maybe he had a little bit too much Caipirinha and just needs a little nap.
Summer: That also means long evenings in the garden, where the white flowers glow like little stars.
Summer: The time of Dead Heading... no, I'm no monster... well, maybe sometimes a little one, but here I talk about cutting withered rose flowers. Each evening I wander now through my garden with a scissor and cut there a rose head and there another one... better don't ask what is going on in my head, when I'm doing this. I can only admit, that after a long hard day in the office it is very liberating :o)...
This years favourite combination of mine: Rose Isphahan and the Rose Barbara Austin.
I had to convince Isphahan for a long time that she believed me, that the rather loamy soil is after her taste and that penumbra is good for not getting sun burned. But the result shows me that I was right, isn't she just a beauty?
Barbara I didn't need to convice, she flowered already in her first year. The first flowers in the year are always a bit small but then she seems to get more power (maybe this is because of the rivalry with Isphahan :o) ). The fragrance of both is wonderful.
Brother Cadfeal grows together with Clematis Arabella. It looks like a beautiful pas de deux.
But big Brother does look gorgeous on its own too.
Rose Rokoko is the only Hybrid Tea that is growing in my garden. It was one of my first roses and because it has no English Rose or Old Rose in its neighbourhood it may stay and fits in well.
And Cistus is showing too, which season we've got. Now I do it like Noah and search for myself a cool place in the shade and straighten out all four (ehm, no, you should better not imagine that :o)).
Habt ein herrliches Sommerwochenende!
Enjoy another sunny summer weekend!
