Wie Weihnachten und Geburtstag zugleich
Like X-Mas and birthday on the same day. Well, as a decembre child, this is really close together and maybe I should celebrate from one event to the other... that's kind of practical. However, the real reason why I felt lately as if birthday and X-Mas fell together, I explain a little bit further on in this post. But first of all I like to thank for all the lovely wishes, cards and gifts... I was really spoiled and for me birthday could be every day, but of course there is the fact, that one is getting older every birthday... so once a year is enough.
What we did on my birthday? Well, yes this too.
Tierpark Goldau freundlich begrüsst. Klar, dass da Frau Gwundergwarten in ihrem Element war *kicher*. Ich geb's ja zu, ich werde zwar optisch älter, aber bleibe wohl immer ein Kind *seufz*.
We were welcomed very warmly in the zoo of Goldau. Of course Mrs. Gwundergarten was in her element *LoL*. It may be, that I'm getting grey haired but at heart I will stay a child forever.
The reason why we were welcomed so warmly, you can see in my hands: food. One could buy some food for them and as you can see, they were rather keen on that.
I can only recommend this zoo if you love animals as I do. It is great to see how they were kept there and you can even get in touch with some species... well not with every species, wolves and bear were of understandable reasons behind fences. But thinking over it again, it would make sence to let visitors behind those fences too, because visitors wouldn't need to buy extra food for wolves and bear and would even get a running training for free.
Last night I switched on the ecologically light in my garden...
Okay, okay, it was just the moon.
And have a look at this stunning sunrise this morning.
Far, far, faaaaar away you can see the "Säntis", which I zoomed in.
No, luckily this wasn't a forest fire, it's just the heavenly color palette.
Rita und Ida teilen. Das Fotos ist auch von heute Morgen und ich teile den Schnee gerne mit Euch, Ihr müsst ihn einfach selber holen kommen :o).
This photo is for Rita and Ida . I just made it this morning and I really would love to share that snow with you, but you have to collect it by yourself.
I'm somehow not in the mood for X-Mas decoration this year. So most of the decoration is found in the garden. For example the Magnolia stellata received an asterisk chain.
And a big star is hanging at my self sawed tree trunk. But let's see what else is going on in the Gwundergarten:
I really can recommend that sign, it is working very well (it says Snails Ban)... I haven't seen a snail for weeks.
Do you know what that is? It's the seeds from Anemone hupehensis.
I hope they spread well, because I could use some more of them at this place in the garden.
A few days ago I was in my soap kitchen again and made this rose soap. This time I used just bright fats, so that I didn't have to use Titanium dioxide. Also I did it without sunflower oil because the last time I used it, the soap get rancid after only a few month. Iiiek, nobody wants a stinky soap.
For this soap here I also used bright fats and essentail oils. It's a lavender soap. Oh... you're more interested in the little dish under the soap?
Okay, okay... I show it to you. Isn't that sweet? It is made to put jewelry into it or other little things, said the artist Ida to me. But I find it rather useful with my soaps too. Thank you so much again, Ida!
Schweizer Gartens schreiben. Zuerst hat mich der Gedanke ziemlich erschreckt, weil ich befürchtete, dass plötzlich gähnende Leere in meinem Hirn herrschen könnte, aber... es geht ganz gut voran und...
But now back to the topic. The reason why I'm so happy as if X-mas and Birthday has fallen on the same day is that I was asked to write the column of the magazin "Schweizer Garten". At first I was frightend by the thought. I feared that my brain was running empty... but at the moment, I still got ideas and...
... last Friday my first column was printed. It feels a bit strange to read once own words in a magazin, but it's fun too. I just hope the editorial staff won't be flooded with letters of complaint.
Now I wish you all a very relaxed day... yes, this photo is from todays morning too. Regarding the headless mouse on our terrace I guess he had a very hard and busy night.
En liebe Gruess / Take care
