Noah: "Ich weiss es, ich weiss es ..."
"What's the color of fall?"
Noah: "I know it, I know it ..."
Noah: "Ich, ich, ich...!"
"Okay, Noah, welche Farbe hat der Herbst?"
Noah: "Me, me, me ... I know it!"
"Okay, Noah, what's the color of fall?"
"That's easy peasy: fall has the same color as my fur. Look, you can't see me anymore between the foliage." Oh, dear.
Little nerds need some exercise. So my hubby played with him. My two boys seemed to have lots of fun.
The guy with the strange look.
I can't help myself, but this sweet furry belly I could kiss forever.
My boys continue having fun, but somebody has to work. I need to earthing up the roses for winter time. I know, some believe that this isn't necessary. That may be, but it isn't neither necessary that I enjoy a chocolate mousse, but it's good for my soul. So, why not spoiling the roses a bit with compost and rose soil and a bit of stone flour (I'm not sure that this word does exist in English, but couldn't find a better translation). But before I start with my work, I show you some autumn impressions:
By the way, the rose Princess Anne from David Austin is a little nerd too. It started to flower in Mai and only stopped for a short break until it started to flower again.
And she doesn't mind growing in the penumbra and that the soil is very loamy.
A pitty that you can't smell this lovely rose. It's the rose Penelope which is still in flower.
I love the light in fall.
I guess after todays garden job I'm going to look like this little wasp: worn out.
Egal, ich geniesse noch jeden einzelnen Sonnenstrahl. Die Zeit, wo man mit klammen Fingern draussen herumwerkelt, kommt noch früh genug.
Anyway, I will enjoy every bit of sunshine. The time when we gardeners will get frozen fingers, will arrive soon enough.
En liebe Gruess
