Are your ready? Socks rolled up, cup of tea beside you, hanky ready for possible eye water? Then let me show you my favorite garden (well, at least till now). Curtain up for Hampton Court. I'll try not to disturb you too much with words, so that you can enjoy the flood of photos by yourself. Off we go:
The rose garden was mainly planted with roses of David Austin... I was in heaven :o).
Diese Kombination gefiel mir besonders gut.
This combination I liked very much.
This cat must have been a Methuselah, the fur was nearly gone, the eyes were cloudy but its hunting instinct was like of a young tiger. I liked the fact that even in a stylish garden like this one, cats were accepted. Another plus point in my eyes.
A labyrinth. Yes, I know, that sounds childish and a bit boring. But I changed my mind when I ended twice in a dead end. The thought crossed my mind: "I hope at the end of the day the staff will pick up lost tourists out of the labyrinth." Well, it wasn't needed... we managed to find the way out sometime.
I was just dreaming that our hedge would look like this. Well, it's just a dream... no chance.
Is this the way to wonderland, to Alice?
I could hardly hold me back trying to get through this door.
Cream tea... big siiiigh... I don't have to write more, do I?
Unfortunately we couldn't visit the castle, because there was a marriage, again.
Bye bye, Hampton Court, you really are magical and very charming. I really would love to see it again in winter season. I guess, it must look even more like out of a fairy tale.
Habt ein schönes Wochenende
Have a joyful weekend
