The birds whistling it from the roof... ehm, from the mountain ash: it is September, indeed. I like this time of the year very much, how about you? The light is so much softer and the days are no longer that hot. Working in the garden is fun again, because at long last you may do something different than carrying around watering cans .
Isn't it exciting how a picture changes just because of the background? Well, okay, it isn't exactly the same flower (but at the same shrub) and between the two photos lays one week.
Not sure, how you call it in English: Crabapple or Wild Apple? Anyway, I love those sweet little red apples. Sometimes I use them as deco, sometimes I cook jam and most of the time I just leave them for the birds :o).
Speaking about birds: Those fellows get rather fat in our garden *smile*. Why? Ehm....
Love goes through the belly and I just adore those sweet little feathery fellows, so ..
... I feed them all year round. But don't worry this is not just a fat ball, which you feed during winter time. No, it's a feeding ball for summertime and for all different kinds of birds. Sometimes I see three birds sitting and pecking on one ball . There are tits, sparrows, nuthatches and many more. You should hear their twittering... it's just so much fun. And that Noah loves it too, I don't need to explain, do I?
Chatting at the birdbath.
And sometimes, when sitting calmly and patiently there (yes, I can do that sometimes *LoL*), you will get such photos.
And sometime, it gets quiet and peaceful again at the birdbath.
This bed beside the terrace gets a color explosion in fall. I planted fuchsia, windflowers, sedum and asters of different sizes.
But why on earth did such a sweet lovely flower get a dumb name like aster? They look so cheerful that they should be called, Little Miss Sunshine ... or how about Laughly Lady? I'm sure you've got even better ideas.
And how about the roses in September, what are they doing? Well, they hide behind the geranium Rozanne so that one can't see that they are already naked. There is virtue and decency in my Gwundergarten *smile*.
Rosarium Uetersen im Morgenlicht.
Rosarium Uetersin at dawn.
Elke, this is for you. Your rose multiflora has taken control over the fence in the north east part of my garden. But she is allowed to do so. Unfortunately, the other rose I planted at a very unfortunate place... it still fights for its right to life, but I'm sure it's gonna win that battle.
More rose petals will fall, but that's life. Nothing stays forever, even when we try to hold it tight.
In diesem Sinne habt ein schönes Wochenende, auf das es möglichst langsam an uns vorüberzieht.
Have a lovely weekend and I hope it won't get by too quickly.
