Hi there. Mrs Gwundergarten told me to show you, what a cat does on a normal Sunday morning.
Wait a minute... I have to throw myself into pose. Okay, you can make the picture, Mrs Gwundergarten. What a gracefullness, what an elegance ... yes, yes, I know, but it's hard work to be such a beautiful cat. That's all because of hard excercise and training.
However, follow me that way.
First I have to sniff through the chestnut leaves... but cautiously... because that ball stings quite nasty into the nose.
Stop laughing, Mrs Gwundergarten, this is NOT funny!
Better you care about other things, like getting your garden a bit cleaned up. Didn't you want to buy another old chair for all those Sempervivum? They seem to wait since ages to get planted again.
Let's move on to my favorite tree. Who said, that we cats can't walk on two legs? Of course we can, but it isn't efficient, or how many mice did you catch on your two legs today?!
Pull-Up and here we are. Now, it's your turn, Mrs Gwundergarten.
"Noah! Sei ein Braver!"
If I let spick this little twig... he he, that would be in the middle of her face.
"Noah! Behave yourself!"
Ich könnte auch einfach etwas am Ast rütteln...
But I could also just shake about this bough...
She says that this is my "I-have-only-nonsense-in-my-head"-look, my eyes were big and round.
Hemmm? Habt Ihr eine Ahnung, was sie damit meint? Und warum nennt mich die Tierärztin "Säbelzahntiger"?!
Don't know what she means, do you? And why does the VET call me Saber-toothed tiger?
I love this old hazelnut tree. Not only because even Mrs Gwundergarten can climb on it...
... nope... but I can fly from ...
... bough to bough... so much fun, indeed!
So, nund habt Ihr ja gesehen, was ein Kater wie ich so alles zu tun hat an einem gewöhnlichen Sonntagmorgen. Was jetzt kommt, geht Euch nichts an - Es ist Top Secret, sozusagen. Frau Gwundergarten, kannst wieder übernehmen!
That's all for now. You know now what a cat like me has to do on a Sunday morning. What follows next is top secret. Mrs. Gwundergarten, please, take over.
So, here we are again... and of course I'm not going to tell you, that the top secret business of the little ginger guy includes some hours of a good old nap. Let's have a walk through the garden meanwhile.
I love the color of autumn. And if you think I have manipulated the color of this hydrangea with a photo shop program, then no, I haven't.
The photographic evidence.
The seed of the star magnolie are quite shocking orange.
The White Fairy accompanied by a hardy fuchsia. I love this soft color combination and I hope neither of them is going to monopolize but that they live in peace forever. I hate chef posturing in my garden.
Von edlem Geblüt: Die Rose Princess Anne.
Her Highness Princess Anne.
Yes, indeed, it's worth to lower the head, when her Highness spreads her lovely fragrance. But the Alnwick rose hasn't to hide herself. It's such a lovely rose as well and by mistake I planted her a second time. But who cares, one can't have enough of beautiful fragrance roses.
I know, probably I have shown you my aster bed 1001 times or more. But it's just a joy to me that I have to show it one more time.
That's the soft pink one you see in the background... sorry, but I can't remember the names of the asters and would have to search for it in my books.
It's a kind of color therapy border. In front of the dark pink aster, soon the rose Pat Austin will flower (in a substantial orange) . You think, you would get eye cancer from it? Maybe, but soon the grey days of this year will arrive, so why not enjoy as much color as you can get?
I always have to smile, when I stand in front of this flower bed. Well, it's a bit wild and I have to put in some plant supports, but who cares? The asters have become one of my favorite plants and sure there will soon be more in my garden. At the moment I'm searching for wild asters that may grow in shady places. Now I've got holidays and of course I will visit during this time some garden centres. Also it's time to bring some spring bulbs into the soil.
But I will also have time to do some crafts again. My little shop needs new stuff.
But I can't wait to slow down a bit, just to do what I fancy, to garden, to craft, and hopefully to finish the draft of my next novel. Well, of course there is also a ginger saber-toothed tiger who waits to get a good old tummy rub. :o)
En liebe Gruess und habt einen guten Wochenstart!
Have a nice week!
