Schwarzer Montag / Black Monday
I know, I said, I would show you the second part of my 2015... but as always, life had other plans. I thought the following true story about my black Monday, might amuse you. Unfortunately I haven't made any photos of this very strange day, but I guess the photos of those bathing tits may fit somehow. By the way I made them on 29th December... what a lovely day for a bath *smile*.
The following story shall warn you, not to make fun over your hubby's car. Don't make silly comments, about its age or its power... it might take revenge.
On this black Monday I intended to go shopping, but before that I had to stop by the bank. Back in the car, I turned the ignition key... but the car made no sound. Immediately I knew, the battery was out of order... and this after I just had made fun over the weak battery of my hubby's car last weekend. However, luckily I've got jumper cables in the back of my car.
Luckily on the other side of the street a nice man parked his car, who helped me then to bridge the battery (thank you so much!). He reminded me, not to switch of the motor till I'm at the service station. I kept saying me this like a mantra on my way to the service station. The dashboard was sparkling like a Christmas tree. I guess, I have never seen before so many lights on it... that was quite nice *LoL*
Because of the Christmas Holidays I knew not every service station would be open. So I told myself not to switch off the motor till I knew for sure that somebody would be around. Well... I bet you know what comes: I got out of the car with a smile on my face, till I felt that I had the car keys in my hand and therefore the motor was off.
Of course, "my" service station was closed. But at the garage beside it I saw light. Unfortunately no one answered to my knocking and calling. So I went back to my car, which lights were flickering full of joy. But this was all, that was working. The motor didn't start. So I grabbed my handbag to take my handy out. My hubby works only a few minutes from this service station away. Buuuuut... there was no handy in my handbag. It was still at home on my desk, where it probably enjoyed a lazy Monday morning :o(.
Again I was lucky, because the workshop owner (from the garage where the light was on) just arrived with his car. He said, he would change the battery and gave me a VW Lupo instead, so that I could do my shoppings and could drive home afterwards. It wasn't a new Lupo but a rather old one... I liked it anyway. Lupo and I became immediately friends, until I left him alone at the shopping center.
Lupo was so offended, that he refused to switch into the reverse gear, so that I could drive out of the parking space. Okay, let's be honest: I was too stupid to find the reverse gear. It has suddenly disappeared. Well, I really followed the instructions on the gear lever, but it didn't work at all. The gear wasn't there, where it should be. I tried ten embarrassing minutes, but without success. I even had to push the car a little bit back, so that I didn't hit the wall in front of me, while trying to find this stupid reverse gear... whenever I thought I've got it, it was the first gear :o(. However, at the end I admitted my defeat and asked again a helpful man, whether he could try it. Don't ask, how stupid I felt, especially when he just sat into the car and switched very easily into that damn (sorry) reverse gear and drove the car out of the parking space. His wife seemd to find it very funny (I guess I would have done the same). With a head as red as the tomatoes I bought just before, I drove home. The trick was to push the gear lever down, turn it to the left and up again... couldn't have told me somebody before? Thanks to that nice guy!
At home I thought, I really deserved some England, some "Escape to the Country", to relax and come down. I was alone for breakfast (yes, this happened all on an empty stomach) and so I switched the telly. But the recording hasn't worked and showed me only a black monitor. Well, it shouldn't be, I thought and sat myself in front of the computer. But the computer said stubbornly: Reboot and press any key. I pressed any key, but nothing worked *grrrrrrr*. I tried to stay calm and took instead my new little iPod to go walking. I was sure, that I put some music on this iPod the day before, but of course there was none on it. At the end, I took my very, very old Walkman and went to this walk... just to get away from all this technic things. When my hubby returned home in the evening, he started my computer and guess what: this stupid thing just started normally. Why not taking it personally?
There may be days, where one should better stay in bed, but then one would miss such lovely sunrises like this one. Looking back, it wasn't such a black Monday at all. Because whenever I needed help, there was somebody, who was willing to give it to me. A big thank to all those guys.
And as you can see, this little blue tit had fun just as well. I wish you all a very happy, healthy, creatively, adventurously, flowery and simply happy 2016! Take care and I hope we will read us next year again. I'm looking forward to it.
Alles Liebe / Yours
