What a day for a daydream :o). I just returned from the garden, where I wiped the foliages from the borders so that the snowdrops got some air. But those beauty above are growing in a pot. I need them for an article about iris and the question whether it is possible to have an iris flowering in nearly every month of the year.
So I started this research with Iris Pauline. Isn't she a real beauty?
But there are already other plants that spend color in my garden, like those winter aconite.
The helleborous are competing about who is the beauty queen.
Die einen sind ganz schön bescheiden.
Some are quite modest.
While others puff themselves up ...
... and look quite ready to fight for the title.
Those I gave a hand so that one could see their whole beauty.
Oh dear, here nothing can help anymore. Those have suffered under a cover of snow during some days and it seems that they haven't been fond of it. Poor you.
Well not everyone can have such a clean slate like the snowdrop.
The primroses are ready to show off, as well. They appear very colorful.
But in the case of fragrance, the lonicera purpusii has no competitors.
I love those sweet little flowers, it's such a magical shrub.
Oh dear, I hope the tree peony knows what it is doing. Its buds are quite fat already.
In my part of the world, I have never seen before so beautfiul daisyies in January. My bunnies will love them. :O)
I even saw the first violas. If you ask me, this spring is absolutely to my taste. Carry on, please.
Habt alle ein genussvolles Wochenende und lasst euch morgen nicht vom Westwind wegpusten.
Have all a lovely weekend. The weather forecast said that we will have some heavy wind tomorrow. Hope everybody will stay safe.
