Today I show you as promised some photos from the garden of Anglesey Abbey. I felt much more welcomed in the garden than in the house. But let's have a little walk in it:
I always loved the white bark of birches. They give the garden a mystic touch, don't you think so?
This garden has lovely garden rooms and eye catchers, which makes you wondering what may be found behind this hedge entrance.
I love big old trees and I'm always wondering what stories they probably could tell.
From one point in the house you could spot this golden bird cage. Not really my taste but it doesn't have to be.
But absolutely my cup of tea was the lovely rose garden. Especially because there were so many roses from David Austin. The flowers, the lovely fragrance... it was really gorgeous.
Oh dear, my garden is too small for all my rosy dreams.
And everywhere you could find some men in stone... I can't remember any women figure in the garden. Should this mean or say us something? Who knows, who knows?
Oh dear, I know this problem only to well from my own garden: Too heavy Annabell heads that somehow went forgotten by the gardener to give them a support.
Such an alley is quite impressive! Hmm... let me think, where I could plan one into my own garden? :)
This tree was probably stroke by a lightning. Even in the garden one could make up some pretty creepy ghost stories :o). I only wish that we have brought some more time with us, so that we could have stayed a little bit longer at this quite special place.
