Stimmung / Moods
Everybody here again? Found a seat? Okay, then we can start with Scotland Part Two which falls under the motto "Moods". Let's start.
This is wonderful mystic Eilean Donan Castle, which lays near the bridge to Isle of Skye.
It was a mystical scenerey which we found there and even when you see clouds on this photo there was no rain.
We envied just a little bit this heron, who could glide over this Loch.
What a stunning place!
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel...!" Does the old maid hear not well? Oh, you mean that was a different castle... well, then let's take the offical entrance.
Unfortunately it wasn't allowed to take picture inside this gorgeous castle... probably because they want you as visitors there too. So I just show you another picture from the far. However, if you think this castle is rather familiar to you, this may be because it was film set of "Highlander" and even a James Bond movie, "The World is not enough", was filmed there.
One last view back before we move on to another mystical place full of legends.
Urquhart Castle. Oh, you don't know that? Hmm, maybe Loch Ness is more common.
Nope, this wasn't used for killing Nessie... but if you look at the remains of the castle you may guess its use.
That men sometimes make women cry is well known. This guy here managed this with me *sniff*. He walked so lonely with his bagpipe and played such sad songs... he just made me weep. I know, it's just another tourist attraction and after finishing playing the bagpipe he just used his mobile phone... welcome back to reality, Mrs. Gwundergarten. But it was lovely anyway.
Even when my hubby laughed at me like the birds on this formerly roof too. I know that I'm built very close to the water and when ever something touches my heart, tears aren't far.
Only this little guy felt sorry for me and was therefore so kind to stay still as a photo sujet. I love robins.
Pssst...vermutlich ist das Nessie längst in eine anderes Loch abgehauen, da es hier einfach zu viele Touristen hat.
I can tell you now, that we haven't found Nessie but it was a gorgeous scenery we found there. Psst... I guess Nessie just moved on to another Loch because there were too many tourists at this place.
On the way back, we came along this beautiful garden.
Unfortunatley we didn't take the time to visit it... I still regret this.
Another mood you'll find here... well, it's a bit morbid, but hubby and I love those old british cemeteries.
This one here, close to Lochcarron, was very spooky, because the ground was very uneven and full of holes.
I hope we didn't disturb the dead by walking over (hopefully not in) their graves.
I love to read the old grave inscription. The stories behind them are fascinatingly.
In this building wasn't held a ceremony for a long time, I guess.
Ivy has taken over the building...
... and embraces it tenderly or shall I better write strangles it tenderly :o). Anyway, I really would love to know what happened to this place. Probably I will never get to know, but my imagination is lively.
Gartenbuddlerin öffnen durfte. Dieses tolle Buch habe ich bei ihr gewonnen. Mensch, hab ich mich gefreut. Vielen Dank, liebe Anja... das wird mir über die Wintermonate helfen :o).
But in very good mood I got when I received a packet from Gartenbuddlerin. Lately I won a book in her blog and it just arrived last week with this lovely card. Thank you so much, Anja... this book will help me along the winter month.
Have a lovely Sunday and a good start into a new week! Take care
En liebe Gruess
