Tschüss Schottland / Bye bye Scotland
Big, big sigh.... it was so lovely up in the North. With those lovely Galloways just beside the streets...
... the lonesome Lochs...
... the breathtaking views...
... and the gorgeous Lochcarron. Sigh... time went much too quickly and we had to leave it all behind and make our way back home with a stop near Glasgow. This time we've chosen not the quick way back but drove on a street through Fort William - Benderloch - Inveraray and then back to our hotel near Glasgow. Weather really made it hart to say Goodbye to Scotland.
We made a short break for a nice cup of tea close to this old castle. It was the last time we enjoyed another Scones... they are so delicious, I really have to give them a try in my own kitchen, but I guess it wouldn't be the same without that view.
Then we had to move on, but suddenly we saw a sign on which was written "Scottisch Seal Sanctuary" and it was mentioned that there were otters. Otters? Really?! Otters! Hubby and I looked at each other and it was immediately clear that we couldn't leave Scotland without having seen any otters. So he slammed on the brakes and took the turn to the Sanctuary.
They were just two of them... and they weren't even Scottish *LoL*... but we didn't care. Isla and Lewis were North American Otters and it seemed as if their preserve was their stage. As soon as people arrived they came up to see who was there and started with their own little show.
It was so funny to watch the two of them. They were very cheeky and lively. But there were a lot more to see in the Sanctuary. I saw fish and other sea creatures that I haven't seen before, it was very exciting and worth the stop.
But then we hadn't much time and had to move on because it was a long way back to Glasgow.
On the way there were a lot of eyecatchers like this old castle. But now it is all over *sniff* and we're back home again. When will I return? Well, I would immediately if I could, but Britain is so big and there is so much more to explore... can't wait to do so. But next year I will have to go South... no not Southern England but real South. My hubby would love to feel the sea again, not only to watch it... well, one could do that in England too but I guess, I shouldn't bring this up to him :o).
I hope, I haven't bored you with my Scotland report. You know, if somebody makes a trip all friends and relatives will suffer and have to go through all the photos:o).
Habt noch eine gute Woche und vergesst nicht, Euch für das Bloggertreffen noch anzumelden.
Have a great weak and take care.
