Today I take you into my craft room. Not only are stinky mice crawling around and spending their irresistible fragrance (well only for cats irresistibel, for us it's rather disgusting) in Mrs. Gwundergartens home, no, there is more. I call myself now a Kamikaze knitter.
Of course I didn't want some easy stuff to knit, nope... it should be something more demanding, like a cable stitch pattern. As a beginner why should I choose something easy :o) ? Of course the first try ended as it must end... as a laugh number. But nevertheless I can wear those gauntlets... at least over some jeans or so. They became a big bigger than I wanted.
But because it was so much fun to knit them and because I finally did understand the pattern, I made a second pair and this time a bit tighter.
And have a look: they aren't bad, are they? I'm very proud that I managed those. If you like the pattern you'll find it in the booklet "Hand- und Fussstulpen" by Birgit Rath-Israel.
Some days ago I finished those cushions. The old once really started to give me eye cancer.
Yes, I know, they are a bit kitschy, but hey, that's me :o). If you like the romantic style too you find the fabric by Buttinette.
No, that isn't Noahs new toy, but my next project...
... and when I look at this wool packet it will be a longer project.
Und so schaut es aus, wenn es fertig ist... sollte es zumindest. Na, ich bin ja mal gespannt :o) und werde Euch auf dem Laufenden halten.
And this is how it should look at the end. Well, I'm rather excited whether I will succeed or not. I'll keep you up to date.
Auf alle Fälle ist das Wetter perfekt um sich ein bisschen zu verstricken und zu vernähen... habt einen gemütlichen Sonntag.
At least todays weather is perfect to have a little fight with the knitting needles or the sewing machine. Have a joyful Sunday.
Ah und hier noch etwas passendes zum Halloween-Wochenende und für alle, die sich vor den achtbeinigen Gesellen ebenso fürchten wie ich:
Nearly forgot to show you something that fits well to the Halloween Weekend. It is for all, who are as afraid as me of those eight legged monsters:
En liebe Gruess / Take care
