Vorbereitungen / Preparations
The last leaves are falling down from the trees and it is getting time to do the last jobs in the garden for preparing it for winter time.
For the first time I did earthing up the hydrangeas with leaves and tied there shots together... I'm not sure that this will do good but this year I heard it so often and therefore I just give it a try. To be honest, I fear that snails will love to spent the cold winter in thoses leaves and will be happy to find the first appetizer in the hydrangeas sprouts... but we will see.
Nein, ich habe dieser hübschen Stele von Ida kein Winterbettchen gemacht.
No, I didn't made a warm winter bed for this lovely bird stele from Ida .
But it stands in a sea of sage, which I covered this year with fir branches. Well, I know that this isn't necessary but it won't hurt either and because we had so many branches from the fir, which we had to remove this fall, I just did it. Maybe a little hedgehog will be happy about it (as if we hadn't any other corners for them in our garden *LoL*).
The leaves are more or less raked from the lawn into the beds and don't ask how many bags of leaves we have already carried up into the adjacent wood... else my back hurts again.
My chocolate heads: Hydrangea Annabell doesn't look as lovely as in summertime, but even with the autumn dress they make a good impression.
Well, okay, the Oakleaf Hydrangea is of course outstanding, it's hard to beat that lovely color.
This heart made of willow I should better take down from the tree during winter time (just to protect it). Then I have to take the fraction of wimp plants into the house, wrap in some pots and give the rose trees some winter protection and then I'm finished for this year *uff*.
Aber drinnen geht's weiter. Habe gemerkt, dass es in meinem Shöppli kaum noch Herbst geschweige denn Winterkarten hat. Also nix wie ran ans Werk.
But the work goes on in the inside. I saw that I was short of fall and winter cards in my little shop. So I produced some new once.
Brrrr... I'm getting cold looking at those winter sujets. And even when I haven't got any X-Mas feelings at all, I had to make some X-Mas cards too, but don't worry, I won't show them to you... it's really to soon for christmas.
Und was treiben meine Tiere?
And what are my pets doing?
Bunny Gandalf has recovered from a new disease flare in Octobre. Finally he feels much better and makes up in getting his fat reserves for winter. I love his fluffy dark ears.
His woman Emma reminds me more of a curling stone... only the handle is missing. No, sorry, that was a bit nasty but I guess, I don't have to worry about her fat reserves :o).
Even Noah is preparing for winter... mentaly of course... what else. Well, it may be as well that his foot odor has put him into coma... but that would be nasty too, so I let go of this thought.
Habt noch einen kuscheligen Sonntag und einen guten Start in die neue Woche.
Have a cozy Sunday and a good start into the new week.
