Necessity is the mother of invention... could also be this posts title. However, since quite a time I sleep rather bad. I wouldn't mind it, if I hadn't to get up at 06.00 am to go to work. But don't let me whine, let's do something. I sewed this little cushion filled with herbs for a better sleep.
It's quit a long time since I bought this fabric in a sale. I didn't know what to use it for. It is so thin like a gauze and it isn't crinkling anymore, so it is just perfect for my small sleep cushions.
I filled the cushion with a mixture from lavender, orange and hops blooms, rose petals, spelled chaff, and just a little bit of mint leaves.
With him it seems to work *LoL*. And with me? Oh well, maybe you know the saying "If it doesn't help, it doesn't do any harm" and here I could add, at least it smells lovely. But no, let's stay serious, the last two nights I slept heavenly six hours... that's a good start if you ask me.
He keeps smiling.
A little drama we've got on our bird feeders. This little chaffinch has a broken left leg and so he hops around with only one leg. He has some troubles with balance but this tough little guy is a fighter. I'm observing him since three weeks and I'm always happy to see him return. Therefore I scatter some bird food on the ground so that he can easily get it. He isn't able to land on the bird feeders above but this way it works rather well too. He is a bit slower than the rest of the birds when he has to escape, but he is still faster than our tomcat *smile*. I keep my fingers crossed that he continues to get through this winter and I try to help as good as I can.
Due to the Tierbeobachter I was made aware about the Starromania Project. Swiss V.E.Ts try to help in romania dogs and cats to get through the winter. If you want to help too, click here.
Habt eine gute Woche! Have a great week.
