Süden vs. Norden / South vs. North
Are you planning your holidays as we are now? Every year hubby and I had the same discussion: Do we travel south or north? My hubby loves the south and me of course the north. Let me tell you why (of course I'm completely neutral and unbiased *smile*):
Those are the flowers of the south.
Those of the north.
This is a little village at the sea in the south.
This is one in the north.
This was our hired car in the south *yawn*.
This was our toy in the north *yeah*.
This was the paddling pool in the south (okay, I can hear you saying that it looks gorgeous, but wait...)
This was the paddling pool in front of our cottage in the north. (Did anybody say that one would like to be able to swim in it *tse*... what wimps)
A coast in the south.
... and this the adventures coast of the north.
History of the South... I don't mention that sweat was pouring out of me, while I did nothing else than breath
History of the north.
Drought of the south... and I don't talk again about sweat, because I already fainted somewhere in the shade... and those shady places were really rare.
This is refreshment pur of the north.
Countryside with some dry olive trees in the south.
A wild jungle... well, okay that's in the south too... in South England *LoL* (Cornwall). Guess this doesn't count, okay then let me show you this:
What a view!!! This one you will find in the north.
Main argument of my hubby that counts for the south: One can not only have a look at the sea, one can really have a swim in it without getting flash-frozen.
Main argument of Mrs Gwundergarten: The north refreshes the soul, it's just that simple. Laying at a beach and waiting to get sunburned is no challenge and just boring.
And because we don't want to bother this cute mate (who lives in the north too, by the way... isn't he a clever thing?) to judge over this subject, we decided that one year we travel south and the next year north. Well, couldn't we just skip this year... unfortunately it's a southern year...
I hope, you have as much fun as we have in planing your holidays wherever you will spend them. By the way, this text is written with a wink and not really seriously, of course there are lovely places in the south too, but couldn't you just turn off the heater for a while *LoL*?
P.S.: Noah findet Ferien doof und plädiert dafür, diese abzuschaffen.
P.S.: Noah finds vacation goofy and we should abolish them.
