First of all, I like to say thank you for all the nice comments about my first book and all the good advices from you, which really helped. But let's go back to the topic: The flowers in my garden act just like on a catwalk. Therefore I decided to have a Miss Gwundergarten 2014 contest. Well, I really distaste those contests but the flowers seemed to have fun.
Some of the girls really dressed up, but...
... some really had a bit of a cat fight. Some looked rather snobby down to the others...
... währenddem sich andere wieder Stiefmütterlich behandelt fühlten.
... and the smaller once felt a bit neglected.
Others were a bit open-hearted.
And this one came to early. She wanted to be on Let's Dance and ended up in the Miss Contest. Well, wrong door my lovely lady.
Some of the girls used quite an impressive fragrance... I'm not sure that this is allowed on the contest. The jury could be manipulated with it.
Others used a walk-on to look better.
Sorry, girls you are too massive... models have to be thin (as if they never get something to eat).
Here's looking at you, kid... okay, it worked... you're on the show.
The dreams of that little Miss were blown away by the wind.
The aquilegia has put herself again into the spot light... they really like to show off.
Sorry, my dear, but blushing doesn't help in this business.
Very lovely... but so possessive. When ever you give them a job, they arrive with the whole family and they can't be persuaded to leave. When they have set roots into your garden, they stay forever.
I know, the age also has its beauties, but how shall I say it kindly? Ladies, really, your best times lay behind you. Not the right show for you, I guess.
Yessss! This is it! Beautiful, just a bit shy but not too much, lovely color, great curves... okay, it let me wait quite a long time until it showed its beauty. So full of airs and graces, I guess. But let's ask our jury, who shall be Miss Gwundergarten 2014.
Tschuldigung, die Jury scheint grad anderweitig beschäftig zu sein. Also gibt's eine kurze Werbepause.
I'm sorry, but the jury seems to be occupied. So let's make a short break.
Ach, Ihr wollt noch ein Vorher Bild? Da guckst Du:
At long last the shadow border in the Gwundergarten is finished! Hurra!!! If I'd known how many roots were under this soil and had to be digged out, I guess.... I would have done it anyway *LoL*.
Oh... you'd like to see a photo from before?
Here it is... yes, I know it's ugly.
I like it much better without the ivy and all those shrubs. But I'm not sure what will be left from the hostas, hydrangeas, fuchsia and fern, after the slugs have fallen over them. Of course I smuggled in a rose... well, only a small tiny one :o)...the White Fairy may grow and fall over the stone wall. It's in the background, you can't see it yet, but it will become a beauty, I'm sure.
So, mal schauen, was die Jury macht:
Let's see what the jury has in mind:
Pfuus weiter, Herr Noah.
Oh dear... I guess, we will not get a voting from this jury... so no winner today. However my favorite would have been the aquilegia from the first photo. I like it even without a Miss title, so you can sleep on, Mr Noah.
By the way my sewing machine hasn't fallen asleep. This is the latest shopper I sewed. I couldn't resist this beautiful fabric. So, that's all for today. Have a lovely week with some sunshine.
