Noah says thank you for all the lovely comments. He feels as if his career is steep upwards *LoL*. as you can see. "I'm the king of the woooooorld"... ehm, or something like that *giggle*.
Ehm... and where does it go on? He looks a bit confused, my little tomcat. Smile, don't worry, I will keep an eye on him that he stays down to earth.
Hmm, something is smelling here? What can it be?
Really? Hmm, let me have a sniff. Could be spring, don't you think so?
No, I guess it's the fat butt from this cat over there.
Noah, what are you up to?
Okay, that was a stupid question.
I guess his glance could be best described as hopeful. Luckily he isn't very talented in birds chasing.
Gandalf is whispering something in Emmas ear and I bet it isn't something nice about Noah.
Yes, my little bunny Gandalf has spring feelings. He even cares about his hair and needs therefore a little bit more time infront of the mirror than his mate Emma. He puts real value on his appearance and thinks that Emma could improve a bit on hers.
Pfff... it doesn't mean anything to have a nice hairstyle. Brain is of more value than good looking, Blondie.
Even in my garden has spring arrived. But I won't put the birds feeder away yet. You know, at the moment some lonely snowflakes are spinning around. And if you think, that the bird cage, beside the feeder, will keep the birds away, you're wrong. They completely ignore it and we've got many guests at the feeder... as long as the guy with the red fur stays away.
But to make sure that the weather knows which season we've got, I wrote it down in our living room. I hope it won't ignore it like last year.
Some tulips help with the spring feelings in the house. The bouquet is already one week old and has its best times behind it.
Callwey Verlag.
But a real smile in my face put this book, which I found in my mailbox earlier this week. It's from the Callwey publishing house. And it seems as if the woman, who sent it to me, knew that I was planning two big new flower borders in my garden. Well, okay, I guess, I won't be able to turn my garden into one of those from the ladies... that would need more than a miracle... but I'm willing to get my inspiration from them.
The gorgeous photos from Marianne Majerus woke not only my desire for the book but also for the beginning garden season.
In the book you will find garden icons like Beatrix Havergal, Vita Sackville-West, but also...
... living legends like Beth Chatto, Anne Chambers and some I didn't know before like Rosanna James, Rachel James, Lady Xa Tollemache and many more.
The gardens of those women are just gorgeous and I got so many ideas for my own garden just seeing those photos. And now I'm keen on reading every detail about their gardens.
The author Heidi Hawcroft does not only describe those women in a lovely way, no, she succeeds in making me feel to be in the described garden by myself. Seeing it through her eyes with her words gave me a lovely head cinema.
Sissinghurst, as every garden and England fan does know.
After every introduced garden you will find a page at which follows a short guide and a list of the favorite plants.
What I liked most, because of its quirkiness, was the little pumpkin portico in the garden of Lady Xa Tollemache. It's fun and I would love to plant it by myself if I had the space, which I haven't.
Das Buch "Englische Gartenikonen" kann ich nicht nur allen England-Gartenfans ans Herz legen, sondern allen die Pflanzen und das Gestalten im Garten lieben oder einfach auch Freude an wunderschönen Gartenfotos haben.
I can recommend that book not only to England garden fans like me, but to all, who love gardening and play with colors and styles in the garden or if you just fancy real good garden photos.
And now I wish you all a wonderful start into the new garden season. Enjoy yourself... it's springtime *hurra*!
