October is always a busy month in the garden. No chance to lay lazy in the sun, watching the leaves changing colors. No, there is lots to do.
But it's not only me, who has lots to do. Those guys have built our fence new. I was very happy, how they did take care about my plants without me standing beside them, slightly growling. Meanwhile I had a lovely coffee break and chat with Carmen (ehm, what did I say about that busy garden month :o) ).
Carmen brought me some plants for my garden. And very typical for her, she labeled each of them very beautiful. It was a pity to unpack them.
Thanks to Carmen I'm now the proud owner of a Teucrium hircanicum *yeah*! Thank you so much, Carmen, I'm full of joy, not only because of the Teucrium but also of the other plants you brought with you.
Have a look, Carmen, I planted it already.
But back to the fence: Doesn't it look nice ? What? You can't remember the old one? Okay, you want it that way, but don't blame me if your eyes hurt afterwards.
I know, it looks a bit like shabby chic, but you weren't allowed to touch the fence, else it would have fallen to dust.
"While you were having your coffee break, I supervised the gardeners. I mean, I'm the head gardener here and without me, the fence wouldn't look as nice as it does now. Comprende?!"
"Es ist jetzt gut, Noah, wir haben verstanden."
"Tse, if one doesn't care about everything..."
"It's okay, Noah, we did understand your point."
"Na ja, Gandalf - darf ich dich daran erinnern, wie meine Hand ausschaut, nachdem ich gestern versucht habe..."
"Keine Details, Frau Gwundergarten, das verletzt meine Privatsphäre."
"Such a conceited fop he is! If Emma and I would behave like that..."
"May I remember you, how my hand looks, after I tried yesterday to ...."
"Stop it, Mrs Gwundergarten, you would violate my private life if you continue talking!"
My little fighter. She's still with us and takes her medicine every day, she eats and behaves as if nothing had happened. Well, when she hops around you see that she is an elderly lady, but she still enjoys life and so it shall be.
Today I decorated our entrance a little bit more like autumn.
Daisies just makes you feel happy, don't you think so?
This my hubby understands by sweeping up the leaves. My education has failed miserably, else this heap would have been carried away... it didn't and I bet it stays there till spring. Did I ever mention that my hubby doesn't like garden work?
Hydrange Hobergine is still lovely to look at in autumn.
Sigh, this chair is very tempting for a break, but there is still work to do. But, who cares, let's have a coffee.
This pot is quite a surprise. Many different plants are growing in it, but I guess the rose Fairy doesn't like it us much as I do.
I enjoyed the coffee break with a fitting cup. Maybe you wonder, where you can get such beautiful cups? It's made by Mrs Chacheli-Macheri. At the moment she's at the Häfelimärt in Basel, where you can visit her. Well, okay, this cup was specially made for me, but she has got many other lovely things. It's worth to join her at the market.
"Hmm... ich vermute mal, ich will es nicht wissen..."
"That was delicious."
"I bet, I don't want to know it..."
"Well, then I show you again, how the leaves are raked together."
"Hey! Why do you walk away?"
"Pfff... nobody seems to care about my effort. Peasants!"
Was there something? I'm sure there must have been something!
Bitte nicht nachmachen!
Do not try this!
Somebody was on my tree!
"It was you, Mrs Gwundergarten! I'll get you!"
Huuuaaargh, I'm sorry, I have to run...
... a wild tiger is chasing me. So I just wish you all a cozy weekend and enjoy this lovely warm autumn day. If you don't read from me again, he had caught me.
