Erschwerte Bedingungen / Hard conditions

... hat Frau manchmal als Hobby-Tierfotografin. Wer könnte sich da schon auf die anderen Katzen konzentrieren, die noch abgelichtet werden sollten. Übrigens, der kleine Graue heisst Tarzan, hat aber vermutlich bereits ein Zuhause und wartet nur noch darauf gross genug zu werden um auf eigenen Beinchen zu stehen.

... I had while making photos in the animal shelter. Who could concentrate on the other cats, which were to photograph, while little Tarzan is climbing arount on one knees. Tarzan is one of the lucky once that already has found a new home and only has to wait until he's ready to leave his mum.

Ich bin nicht der Pöstler! Der kleine Momchil könnte Euch helfen, keine Rechnungen mehr per Post zu erhalten :o). Nein, im Ernst, er ist noch ein Baby und total verspielt. Er sucht übrigens noch ein Plätzchen...

I'm not the postman! Little Momchil could help you not receiving bills from the postman :o). No, he's just a baby and still in play mood. By the way, he's looking for a new home.

Die Zuckerschnute hier ist sein Bruder Doni... auch er sucht noch ein Zuhause.

This is his brother Doni... he too is looking for a new home.

Und das ist der dritte im Bunde... aber verliebt Euch ja nicht gleich in ihn, denn der Glückliche durfte bereits in einen Probeaufenthalt und hat wohl bereits sein neues Körbchen gefunden.

And this one is the third of the group... but don't fall in love with him, because he already seems to have found new owners. He was allowed to visit his new home for the first time.

Wirklich erschwerte Bedingungen hatten aber Amande...

... Tina. Die drei Schönheiten wurden doch tatsächlich in einem Keller gehalten. Ich versteh die meisten Menschen ja nicht wirklich, aber die Ex-Besitzer der dreien schon grad gar nicht. Wie gut, dass sie nun im Strubeli gelandet sind und man da für sie ein "richtiges" Zuhause sucht.

... Tina. They were kept in a cellar! I really know that there are many stupid people around, but that is too much to believe. How lucky they are, that they finally ended up in the animal shelter, were the staff now is looking for a real good home for them.

Habe ich schon erwähnt, dass ich dicke Katzen mag? Shakira ist so ein richtiger Wonneproppen und kann vom Streicheln nicht genug bekommen.

Did I ever mention that I love thick cats? Shakira is a real bundle of joy. She can't have enought of cuddling.


Sara ist ne aufgestellt und verspielte Hündin. Ich finde immer, dass diese Art Hund hälter aussieht als sie sind. Sara ist nämlich gerade mal zwei Jahre jung.

Sara is a young and playful dog. I alway find that dogs of her kind looks so old, but she's only two years old.

Roxy ist noch ein scheues Mädel. Sie ist erst ein halbes Jahr alt und mag es mit Kumpel Brandy herumzutollen.

Roxy is a bit shy at the begin, but she's only half a year old. She loves playing and running around with Brandy.

Und das wäre besagter Kumpel Brandy.

And that cool guy is Brandy.

Marty ist ein Hund, der einem einfach ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert. Jung, verspielt und völlig übermütig, aber voller Lebensfreude. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was er für eine Rasse sein könnte, aber aufgrund der grossen Ohren, dachte ich auch an einen Podengo-Mix... habe aber wirklich kleinen Blassen, was das die Natur zusammen gemischt hat.

Marty is a dog that put a smile in my face. He's young, playful, sometimes a bit nuts but full of joy and life. I have no idea what kind of dogs is mixed up in him. Because of the big ears I thought maybe a bit of Podengo. But who cares, nature did right with him.

Auch die junge Linda hat erschwerte Bedinungen. War die Neufundländer-Mischlingshündin doch erst im April im Tierheim, wurde vermittelt und dann wieder zurück gebracht, weil man mit ihrem jugendlichen Temperament nicht zurecht kam. Die Hündin ist gerade mal 9 Monate jung und hat halt noch viele Flausen im Kopf. Ich drücke ihr die Daumen, dass es beim zweiten Anlauf besser klappt.

Linda had hard conditions too. She's for the second time in the animal shelter. Only in April/May she left it but the owners couldn't handle her young temperament. She's only 9 month old and has lot of noncence in her head... but hey, she's young! I hope so much for her that this time she will find her perfect owners.


Die süsse Lexi: neugierig, verspielt, verfressen... na halt eben ein Beagel. Zum Knutschen, nicht?

Sweet Lexi: she's nosy, playful and greedy... a real Beagel, what shall I say more. Sweet isn't she?

Weniger erschwerte Bedinungen hat die Jöh-wie-herzig-Fraktion. Dies sind die Brüder und Schwester von Tarzen. Aber ich glaube, auch sie haben bereits alle ein Zuhause gefunden.

And those guys here really don't have hard conditions. Because of their sweetness the brothers and sisters of Tarzan have already found new homes.

Also schaut gar nicht so tief in diese Kulleraugen... bringt nichts... Ihr kriegt sie nicht *grins*.

So don't look to close into those big eyes... it won't work... you won't get them for yourself :o).


Erschwerte Bedinungen hat auch Fuchur. Ach, nicht das ich glaube, dass er schwer zu vermitteln ist. So ein lieber tollpatschiger Kerl! Ne, ich glaube, die Mischung aus der er besteht, erschwert ihm das Leben: er ist ein Welsh-Corgi-Bernhardiner-Mix. Sein Kopf ist riesig, sein Gewicht gewaltig... für so kleine Beinchen. Aber hätte ich mir an diesem Tag einen Hund aussuchen müssen, wäre Fuchur mit mir nach Hause geflogen, wie es sich gehört für einen Namensvetter aus der unendlichen Geschichte.

Real hard conditions has this guy called Fuchur. Well, not that I think he had to stay for a long time in the animal shelter... for that he's too nice. He's such a sweet guy and a bit clumsy. No, I think the problem is the Mix of his breed: Welsh Corgi and St. Bernard. The head is enormous, the weight high... for such little legs. But if I had to choose one of todays dogs, I would have chosen him. He really remembers me to the dragon from the unending Story.

Merlin (oben) und Dani (unten)... die zwei beiden sind sowas von herzig im Umgang miteinander. Beide lagen nebeneinander am Boden, Schnäuzchen an Schnäuzchen, und Dani hat Merlin die Schnauze geleckt... hach, da schmilzt der Fotografinnen Herz, da ich aber zu diesem Zeitpunkt gerade in einem anderen Gehege beschäftig war, gibt's von dieser rührenden Szene leider kein Bild. Merlin ist übrigens ein Mädel, trotz des Namens.

Merlin (above) and Dani (below)... are really sweet with each other. They only know each other from the shelter but it seems to be true love :o). By the way, Merlin is a girl... despit of her name.



Dieser süsse Glückspilz durfte bereits einen Tag nach dem Fototermin Schwanzwedelnd ausziehen.

This lucky girl was already allowed to move into her new home the day after the photoshooting.

Nein, das ist nicht mein Noah... er hat aber den selben "ui,ui,ui," Blick drauf. Der rote mit dem heissen Blick heisst Billi und sucht zusammen mit...

No, this isn't my cat Noah... but he's got the same thoroughful view. He's name is Billi and he's looking for a new home together with...

Erschwerte Bedingungen wird wohl auch dieser übermütige Boxer namens Brutus haben. Viel mehr als Sitz kann er noch nicht und er freut sich jeweils so riesig über Menschen, dass er die wohl am liebsten gleich umrennt. Zwei Mal hätte er es bei mir fast geschafft... und ich bin nicht wirklich ein Fliegengewicht. Aaaaaaber, ich muss auch sagen, dass er ein lieber Kerl ist, sich mit anderen Hundis versteht und wohl einfach mit mir, die keine Hundeerfahrung hat, ein leichtes Spiel hatte.

Hard conditions will this boxer dog, named Brutus, have. Because more than "Sit" he hadn't learned from is owner before. He loves people that much, that he tries to just run over them (for licking their faces? I don't know and didn't want to give it a try). Nearly twice he managed to knock me down and I'm not really a flyweight. But I really have to say, that this guy is very kind and that he likes other dogs and that he did have an easy game with me, because I've got no dogs experiences.


Ein kleiner Junge hat meine Arbeitskollegin verraten, dass diese Rasse hier D'Ovomaltiner heisst. Wie treffend! Ich bin dafür diese Rassebezeichnung sofort einzuführen. Denn die beiden "Tintenlümpli" Lucky (oben) und Akyra (unten) sind nicht wie "gewöhnliche" Dalmatiner schwarz getupft sondern braun.

A little boy had told my work mate, that this kind of dog is called "D'Ovalmatian" (from Ovaltine). Well I couldn't find a better description of a Dalmatian with brown dots... why not using it officially. Above you see Lucky and beneath Akyra.


Und wenn wir schon bei den Getränken sind, dies hier ist Amaretto. Sie war noch ganz schüchtern, fühlte sich aber zusammen mit Merlin und Dani im Gehege wohl. Ich denke bei ihren Besitzern wird sie dann schnell auftauen. Im Tierheim ist halt immer so viel los, Lärm und viele Menschen, das ist alles sehr aufregend für einen sensibleren Hund. Aber das wird schon, Mädel.

And when we are already talking about drinks, let's talk about Amaretto :o). She's still shy but together with Merlin and Dani she feels fine. I'm sure that with the right people she soon will loose her shyness, but in the animal shelter there is so much barking, so much noise, so many people and that is probably too much for a sensitive dog. But be assured, dear Amaretto, everything will turn out great for you.

Und zum Schluss nochmals erschwerte Bedingungen für die Fotografin. Sie ist nämlich in Sachen Spinnen ein völliges Mädchen und kann kreischend davon rennen, wenn eine dicke fette Spinne im Haus entdeckt wird. Als ich dann den Auftrag las, vier Vogelspinnen zu fotografieren, musste ich schon erstmal tiiiiiiief durchatmen. Aber die netten Mädels und Jungs vom Tierheim haben die Terrarium-Scheiben gut geputzt, so dass ich diese "Monster" *tschuldigung* (ich bin halt wirklich ein Mädchen) durch die Scheiben fotografieren konnte. Mag sein, dass es faszinierende Tiere sind... aber wir werden trotzdem keine Freunde.

At the end, I really had hard conditions! You know, I'm really, really afraid of spiders and I'm a real girl about that. Because when I see a big spider somewhere in our house I can run away screaming as if a monster was trying to eat me. So I wasn't really amused when I heard that I should make pictures from tarantulas. But the girls and boys from the animal shelter were very kind with me and cleaned the windows from the terrarium very proper so that I was able to make the photos through them. I know, I'm a coward. Those animals may be fascinating but we won't become friends... sorry.

So das war's mal wieder aus dem Tierheim. Wenn Ihr Euch über ein Tier genauer erkundigen wollt, könnt Ihr das direkt im Strubeli tun, denn ich bin nur die Fotografin und kenne die genauen Hintergründe und Geschichten der Tiere nicht.
Übrigens, die Tiere brauchen nicht Euer Mitleid, denn sie sind nun in einem gutgeführten Tierheim, wo man für sie ein Zuhause sucht und zu 99 % auch findet. Leider gibt es noch viele, viele andere Tiere, die immer noch unter erschwerten Bedingungen leben und es "noch" nicht soweit geschafft haben.

By the way, those animals don't need your pity, because they are now in a good place, where people care about them and are looking for good homes for them. There are a lot more pets, who aren't that lucky and who still live in places, where I even wouldn't put a spider in.
